Job summary

CommonPlace is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the property’s maintenance team, ensuring a safe, clean, and move-in ready community for residents in Charlotte, NC. You will oversee daily maintenance tasks, schedule staff, manage vendors, and uphold CommonPlace standards across apartments, amenities, and grounds.

The role requires hands-on leadership with 3–5 years in maintenance and 1–3 years supervising, plus solid plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general construction knowledge.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3–5 years of maintenance experience.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of property management experience.
• 1–3 years of supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge in plumbing, electrical, appliances, HVAC, and general construction.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and support the maintenance team, including training and scheduling.
• Oversee vendor work and ensure quality and safety compliance.
• Maintain inventory and submit supply orders.
• Perform daily and preventative maintenance tasks.
• Complete Make Ready unit turns and ensure move-in readiness.
• Assist in bidding processes and project planning.
• Keep tools and areas clean and well‑maintained.
• Manage MSDS sheets and replacement logs.
• Respond to emergencies on an on‑call basis.
• Ensure safe property access during snow and ice events.
