Job summary

East Charlotte Apartment Community in Charlotte, NC seeks a Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the property's maintenance operations, lead the maintenance team, and ensure safety, compliance, and cleanliness across the site.

You will manage work orders, perform preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems, and coordinate with on-site and regional teams to keep units rent-ready and common areas in excellent condition.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Technical certifications in HVAC or EPA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and complete daily service requests and work orders promptly.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Ensure units are rent-ready within established timelines.
• Monitor property grounds, amenities, and common areas for safety and cleanliness.
• Supervise and schedule maintenance technicians and porters.
• Provide training, guidance, and performance feedback to the maintenance team.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and applicable regulations.
• Maintain inspections logs, maintenance records, and equipment certifications.
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls and coordinate 24-hour coverage.
• Maintain inventory and oversee vendor work; assist in sourcing new vendors.
