Job summary

The role involves repairing, completing work orders, coordinating make-ready processes, and maintaining supplies while supporting budget objectives and safety compliance. Strong customer service and safe tools usage are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED, or related experience and training.
• Experience in property management maintenance, other building maintenance, or related trade.
• Incumbents must provide own hand tools unless prohibited by State law; knowledgeable and skilled in safe use of hand/power tools and measuring devices.
• Ability to apply principles of logical thinking to define and correct problems.
• Proficiency in customer service and interpersonal communication; interact with residents and team, and address requests calmly.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively to represent company management and assist internal/external contacts.
• Proficiency with internet, word processing, spreadsheets, and databases; property management system experience preferred.
• Mathematical skills for handling financial, administrative, and legal documents.

Responsibilities

• Assist and complete work orders from resident requests and routine maintenance.
• Oversee make-ready process to prepare vacant units, schedule vendors, and inspect completed work.
• Develop standards for cleanliness and appearance of grounds, buildings, and common areas to reflect Greystar quality.
• Periodically inspect work performed by staff and contractors to ensure quality and safety.
• Maintain inventory of parts and supplies; order items within budget.
• Complete monthly preventative maintenance procedures as outlined in policies.
• Assist Community Manager in budgeting for repair, maintenance, and capital projects.
• Support cost-cutting by fixing rather than replacing where possible.
• Conduct safety meetings and stay updated on OSHA and safety laws.
• Demonstrate strong customer service, addressing questions and complaints promptly.
