Job summary

JAB Recruitment is seeking an experienced Lead Project Scheduler to provide scheduling leadership across multiple large-scale energy infrastructure and capital projects in the Houston area. The role owns development and management of integrated master schedules from engineering through closeout, partnering with PM, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and leadership.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of project scheduling or controls on large-scale energy/industrial EPC projects.
• Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 is required.
• Experience with CPM scheduling, master schedule integration, and earned value.
• Experience reviewing EPC, contractor, and subcontractor schedules.
• Ability to interpret engineering and construction deliverables and sequencing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for executive leadership.
• PMP/PSP or other project controls certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and manage integrated master schedules for multiple concurrent capital projects.
• Lead scheduling strategy and execution using Primavera P6 and other controls tools.
• Develop resource-loaded and cost-loaded schedules to support forecasting.
• Perform critical path, float, earned value, and schedule variance analyses.
• Partner with PMs, Construction, Engineering, Procurement, and leadership to develop execution plans.
• Lead schedule review meetings and communicate milestone status to senior leadership.
• Monitor project and contractor schedule performance with updates and look-ahead schedules.
• Identify delays, constraints, and risks; recommend corrective actions.
• Review contractor schedules for logic and integration; ensure alignment.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and change management within project controls.
• Develop schedule performance metrics and executive dashboards.
• Establish and improve scheduling standards and best practices.
• Mentor junior schedulers and provide guidance.
• Support claims time impact analysis and schedule documentation.
• Participate in planning sessions and risk workshops.
