Job summary

Primoris Energy Services in Sherman, Texas, is seeking a Lead Project Controls Scheduler to develop, maintain, and analyze schedules for complex energy infrastructure projects. You will lead schedule development using Primavera P6, coordinate with project managers, engineers, procurement and construction teams, and ensure timely and cost-effective delivery.

The ideal candidate has 8+ years of experience in project controls scheduling in energy or heavy industrial construction, expert P6 skills,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in project controls scheduling, with energy/oil & gas/heavy industrial construction experience.
• Expert proficiency in Primavera P6 (P6 EPPM).
• Strong understanding of CPM, EVMS, and risk analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 for energy infrastructure projects.
• Collaborate with PMs, engineers, procurement and construction teams to define scope and durations.
• Perform critical path analysis, identify delays, and propose mitigation strategies.
• Monitor progress against baselines, generate schedule reports and forecasts.
• Conduct what-if analyses to assess impact of changes or risks on schedules.
• Facilitate schedule review meetings with stakeholders and communicate status clearly.
• Develop and implement standardized scheduling procedures and best practices.
• Support earned value analysis and cost integration with schedules.
• Mentor junior schedulers and project controls staff.
