American Electric Power is seeking experienced Project Managers to lead a range of base to complex projects in a matrix environment. You’ll plan, execute, monitor, and close projects with a focus on safety, quality, and value for customers.

The role covers coordinating plans, schedules, budgets, and teams, with opportunities to advance to senior and principal levels based on performance. Expect 25% travel and onsite work at various locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent with professional project management experience.
• Experience in outage management, project controls, and budgeting is preferred.
• Knowledge of construction safety, scope development and cost estimation is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Conduct or assist in planning, organizing, directing, and coordinating assigned project activities.
• Develop and coordinate the project plan, schedule, budget, tools, and staff.
• Lead planning meetings and provide status updates to stakeholders.
• Coach and develop team members on project management skills.
• Manage procurement plans and outside resources, including vendor evaluation and contracting.
• Ensure safe work practices and adherence to the AEP System Safety Process.
