Job summary

Ameren Illinois is seeking a Project Manager to lead large-scale engineering and construction projects across its operating area. You will develop, integrate, and implement project plans for successful completion and operational integration of multi-million dollar initiatives.

Reporting location is within the Ameren Illinois Operating Area, with duties spanning initiation to close-out, including cost, schedule, risk management, and safety leadership.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Engineering Management, or Construction Management.
• PMP certification preferred or must be pursued within 12 months of hire.
• 3+ years of relevant project management experience for higher levels; entry level considered with leadership demonstrated.

Responsibilities

• Directly manage assigned CPOC, SLPOC, and mid-tier projects following Ameren and AIC procedures and policies.
• Responsible for overall project performance and outcome.
• Identify and direct project team; ensure responsibilities are understood; lead tasks to completion.
• Lead the project delivery process from initiation through close out.
• Provide guidance on scope, cost, schedule, risk management, and design criteria.
• Develop relationships with team members, stakeholders, and external vendors/contractors.
• Manage updates, metrics, reporting to stakeholders, and compliance with procedures.
• Present updates to Capital Project Oversight Committee and other boards as needed.
• Coordinate outages for affected electrical and natural gas facilities.
• Forecast budgets accurately.
• Provide safety leadership and guidance.
