Job summary

Ameren Illinois seeks a Project Manager to lead large engineering and construction projects within the Ameren Illinois Operating Area. You will plan, coordinate, and execute multi-million dollar initiatives, driving cross‑functional teams to meet scope, cost, and schedule targets.

Reporting location is flexible within the operating area based on site availability. The role demands strong leadership, stakeholder communication, and a proven track record in utility project management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Engineering Management, or Construction Management.
• PMP certification (preferred or must be pursued within 12 months).
• 3+ years of relevant project management experience for mid-level roles; 5+ years for higher levels.

Responsibilities

• Direct and manage assigned projects following corporate procedures.
• Ensure project performance and timely delivery.
• Lead cross-functional teams and coordinate internal/external resources.
• Oversee scope, cost, schedule, and risk management.
• Provide updates to stakeholders and governance committees.
• Ensure outage coordination for affected facilities and safe execution.
