Job summary

Ameren Illinois seeks a Supervising Engineer to lead electrical engineering teams, supervise engineers, recruit and develop staff, and coordinate work with design-center leadership and other Ameren departments.

The role emphasizes safety, project coordination, and ensuring compliance with standards, with potential on-site field visits and after-hours callouts during outages. A PE license is preferred and 7+ years of experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering from an accredited college or university required.
• Electrical Engineering is preferred.
• Professional Engineer License (PE) preferred.
• Seven or more years of engineering experience required.
• Supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Ensure outstanding safety results by participating in design center safety activities and using proper PPE.
• Provide technical support to engineers and staff for proper application of rates, rules/regulations and policies; coordinate from design to construction.
• Direct project assignments, review accurate estimates, and ensure projects are engineered per Ameren standards.
• Oversee Joint Use engineering PLAs and PCAs to support construction, operations, and budget development.
• Provide engineering support to Design Center and Field Engineering; monitor designs for reliability and feasibility.
• Identify and implement improvements to design center operations to control costs and improve quality.
• Support damage assessment during region restoration efforts.
