Job summary

BW Papersystems in Phillips, WI is seeking a Project Management Leader to oversee the execution of new equipment orders on-site five days a week, guiding a PM team and ensuring projects meet budget and schedule.

You will coordinate across engineering, procurement and manufacturing, drive standard playbooks, manage scope and risk, and develop team capabilities; relocation assistance may be available for candidates outside commutable distance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field; engineering preferred.
• 8+ years as a Project Manager in technical/manufacturing environments.
• 5+ years leading teams of Project Managers.
• Formal PM training or PMP certification preferred.
• Experience in capital equipment or high-mix, low-volume environments a plus.
• Ability to lead cross-functional teams and manage budgets/schedules.

Responsibilities

• Define project scope, deliverables and schedule prior to execution.
• Lead PM team to achieve milestones, schedule adherence and cost targets.
• Develop and maintain a standards playbook for projects and scheduling tools.
• Ensure adherence to project management playbooks and standards.
• Perform quality control to maintain project standards.
• Coordinate with leadership, internal departments and customers to stay on track.
• Make decisions to drive progress and communicate schedule changes.
• Partner with outside OEMs to define scope and manage purchasing.
• Oversee project documentation control and formal communication.
• Develop team members' PM competencies and mentor junior staff.
• Lead and coach project managers.
