Job summary

Pratt & Whitney, at RTX, seeks a highly motivated Associate Director, Project Engineering to lead the Project Engineering team at the CMC Center of Excellence in Carlsbad, CA. You will oversee all site projects, drive capital expansion, and advance process capabilities for ground test and flight engines.

You will recruit, train and retain engineering talent, report to the site General Manager, and help execute strategic priorities for the CMC development effort within the RTX enterprise.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of engineering experience.
• ABET accredited engineering degree.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Drive site project execution: schedule, cost, technical performance; manage risks and opportunities.
• Develop project plans, schedules, resource requirements and budgets for site projects.
• Support, build and develop team of product engineers at the CoE.
• Align and integrate CoE site strategy with P&W global site strategy.
• Develop strategy for a collaborative work environment with Chiefs, Fellows and Supervisors.
• Own capacity assessment & planning for the CoE.
• Lead site procurement activities, including interdivisional and external sourcing and agreements.
• Lead the Digital Transformation professionals on the site, guiding cross-functional coordination and project management practices.
• Lead the Tooling group with SAP/ERP integration, capacity planning, and government property tracking compliance.
• Present plans and progress reports to track progress and ensure alignment with objectives.
• Engage proactively across RTX functions to drive collaborative execution.
