Job summary

Gatesource HRUS, a global engineering and technology provider in the mineral processing sector, seeks a Lead Project Engineer to support Engineering & Projects across North America. The role covers the full project lifecycle from early customer engagement to project delivery.

You will lead a small regional engineering team, coordinate international resources, develop a North American subcontractor network, and mentor regional capability while ensuring project goals are met.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Chemical/Process, or related engineering discipline.
• 8-10+ years in project engineering, plant design, or EPC environments.
• Experience preparing technical scopes, estimates, and proposals.
• Proven ability to manage multidisciplinary engineering projects.
• Background in mineral processing, materials handling, or heavy industrial plants.
• Comfortable in customer-facing technical roles.

Responsibilities

• Support customer engagement and opportunity development with the regional business development team.
• Lead preparation of engineering scopes, cost estimates, and proposals.
• Deliver engineering projects across scope, schedule, cost, and quality.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary engineering teams and subcontractors.
• Develop a network of qualified engineering subcontractors in North America.
• Mentor and grow the regional engineering capability.
