Job summary

Spectrum Plastics in Minnesota seeks a Project Engineer to lead and manage new project programs from sales close to production transfer. You will support business development with technical expertise in quoting and customer interaction.

You will drive mold design/construction, process development, validation, documentation, and transfer to production while coordinating cross-functional teams to meet safety, quality, and delivery targets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 1-5 years injection molding experience.
• Medical device industry and validation experience is preferred.
• Strong project management and leadership skills.
• Ability to read, analyze and interpret production reports, financial reports and technical information documents.
• Ability to respond to inquiries from customers/regulatory agencies.
• Willingness to travel and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage new project programs from the sales close to transfer to production.
• Support business development with technical expertise in quoting and customer interaction.
• Manage mold design, mold construction, process development, validation, documentation, training, and transfer to production.
• Establish and manage project schedules, delivery dates, and cost objectives.
• Lead cross-functional teams to deliver projects per customer expectations and commitments.
• Provide engineering and manufacturing guidance on projects.
• Assist in quoting with tooling, processing, equipment and technologies for new projects.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed
• Travel may be required.
