Job summary

Kokosing Construction is seeking a Lead Project Engineer for Heavy Highway – Roadway/Bridge projects to join our Pennsylvania team onsite. You will plan, develop, coordinate, and manage onsite construction engineering activities, aligning with schedule, quality, and safety standards.

The role requires 5+ years of relevant experience, a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or construction management, and strong leadership and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred.
• 5+ years of similar construction engineering experience.
• Bridge experience is a strong plus; PE registration preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, coordinate and manage onsite construction engineering activities for Heavy Highway/bridge projects.
• Ensure project engineering activities comply with company and contract requirements and support the project schedule.
• Provide technical support for construction planning, design interpretation, and resolving design conflicts.
• Develop, implement and administer project engineering procedures and other control documents (submittals, RFIs, expediting material deliveries, payment of subcontractors/vendors).
• Represent company during A/E, client and project management meetings; interface on-site departments to resolve problems and support the schedule.
• Oversee pre-construction services, design-build services, and business development for the project.
• Perform additional assignments per supervisor’s direction.
