Job summary

Kokosing in Carnegie, PA is seeking a Lead Project Engineer for Heavy Highway – Roadway/Bridge projects. You will work onsite with the team to plan, develop, coordinate, and manage onsite construction engineering activities, ensuring alignment with schedule and quality.

Bachelor’s in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred; 5+ years of related experience; bridge experience a plus. PE preferred but not required. Kokosing offers competitive compensation and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management preferred or equivalent technical training and related experience.
• 5+ years of similar construction engineering experience.
• Bridge experience is a strong plus.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, coordinate, and manage onsite construction engineering activities for heavy highway/bridge projects.
• Ensure project engineering activities comply with requirements and support overall construction schedule.
• Provide technical support for construction planning, design, and resolution of design conflicts.
• Develop and administer project engineering procedures and documents (submittals, RFIs, expediting, pay requests).
• Represent company/department in meetings with A/E, client and project management.
