Job summary

Lanco Group of Companies in Hazel Crest, IL is seeking a Lead Project Engineer within its Material Handling Division to lead multiple engineering projects from concept through production release, ensuring design deliverables meet scope, schedule, and budget.

You will coordinate across engineering, manufacturing, quality, sourcing, service, and commercial teams, drive risk management, maintain project plans, and report progress to executives while mentoring junior engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in applicable engineering discipline from an accredited institution.
• 7+ years' experience in engineering, product development, or technical project leadership.
• Experience leading cross-functional engineering projects from initiation through implementation.

Responsibilities

• Lead multiple engineering projects and product development programs from concept through implementation and production release.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, milestones, resource requirements, and project deliverables.
• Establish project scope, objectives, timelines, budgets, and success criteria with stakeholders.
• Coordinate activities across engineering, manufacturing, quality, sourcing, service, operations, and commercial teams.
• Monitor project progress and identify schedule, resource, technical, and business risks.
• Lead project reviews and communicate status to engineering leadership and executive management.
• Drive accountability for project deliverables and milestone achievement.
• Facilitate technical discussions and decision-making to ensure objectives are achieved.
• Track releases, ECNs, testing, validation, and production readiness milestones.
