Job summary

Lanco Group in Hazel Crest, IL, is seeking a Software/Electrical Engineering Manager to lead the Electrical Systems, Power & Signal Distribution, PLC/HMI software, and machine controls teams across our material handling products. You will drive cross-functional collaboration and ensure reliable, compliant electrical solutions.

You will own the work intake and Jira backlog, mentor engineers, establish engineering standards, and manage budgets while partnering with Product, Manufacturing, Quality,

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in electrical or related field; master’s preferred.
10+ years in engineering roles with focus on electrical systems and machine controls.
5+ years of supervisory experience leading teams.

Responsibilities

Lead design and development of electrical systems, power & signal distribution, PLC/HMI software, and machine controls.
Drive cross-functional collaboration with Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Support.
Own work intake, backlog, and resource allocation; manage Jira backlog.
Coach, mentor, and develop the software/electrical/electronic design team.
Develop engineering standards, processes, and ensure compliance.
