Job summary

TAE Power Solutions is seeking a Manager, Project Engineering to lead technical execution from design handoff to turnover. You will own external technical discussions with customers and vendors, drive milestone outcomes, and ensure TPS standards are met.

Qualifications

• 7+ year experience leading technical execution and commissioning for complex power or BESS.
• Strong interdisciplinary capability across electrical, controls, software integration and system level troubleshooting.
• Experience owning customer and vendor technical discussions during execution, driving alignment and closure.
• Experience at an EPC delivering turnkey BESS projects with field troubleshooting and commissioning resolution.
• Strong documentation discipline and ability to run structured triage and change control processes.
• Experience leading, hiring and developing engineers, including onboarding and training plans.
• Extensive BoS experience for BESS projects including AC/DC switchgear configuration and protection.
• Strong communication skills for executive escalation and customer-facing technical leadership.
• Experience building and improving commissioning standards, checklists and playbooks.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical execution plan for each project from design handoff through commissioning, performance validation, and turnover.
• Lead milestones including site readiness, installation readiness, pre-commissioning, SAT, performance testing and acceptance readiness.
• Own external technical discussions with customers and vendors during project execution with clear decision trails.
• Coordinate internal groups to remove blockers and drive issue resolution to protect schedule and outcomes.
• Define and maintain milestone criteria aligned to TPS standards and customer requirements.
• Ensure commissioning is safe, consistent, and evidenced via TPS Control Console and Data Acquisition.
• Develop field programs, documentation and training with standard work packages and templates.
• Build and maintain relationships with EPCs and local contractors for execution efficiency.
• Lead and develop the Project Engineering team, setting expectations and training paths.
