Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Phoenix is seeking a Lead Project Engineer to act as the engineering Customer Liaison for a business-jet engine program. You will be the primary contact for OEMs and Customer Teams, delivering fast, reliable technical support and leading Technical Interchange Meetings to guide design-change activity.

You will coordinate with OEMs to meet program objectives, communicate SRDs, and drive cross-functional collaboration across engineering, production, and certification teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering or mathematics.
• 8+ years of experience in design, development and/or test of gas turbine engines, nacelle systems, engine control systems or other complex mechanical systems.
• Proficiency in project management tools and methods (e.g. Microsoft Project, Agile Scrum/Kanban, Earned Value Management System).

Responsibilities

• Manage technical communications and coordination meetings with OEM customers.
• Deliver clear technical recommendations to executive leadership and customers and support formal program reviews.
• Plan, schedule, and execute development and sustainment projects to meet scope, schedule, and cost targets.
• Provide day-to-day leadership of cross-functional engineering teams through design, analysis, test, certification, and production.
• Collaborate with aircraft OEMs to define requirements, resolve technical issues, and maintain alignment with program objectives.
• Drive root-cause investigations and implement timely corrective actions for production and field issues.
• Identify program risks and opportunities and lead mitigation strategies to improve technical, schedule, or cost outcomes.
• Ensure compliance with internal processes, regulatory requirements, and industry standards.
