Job summary

Honeywell Aerospace in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Lead Project Engineer with a strong engines background to plan and execute complex aerospace programs. You will manage interdisciplinary teams across design, analysis, and testing to deliver engine modules on time and within budget. Requirements include a BS in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering, 10+ years in propulsion development, and DoE-style governance.

U.S. Person status and PMP-like proficiency valued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or equivalent.
• Direct experience with design, development and certification of gas turbine engines or propulsion systems.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Estimate, plan and execute complex work packages for new product development.
• Lead large cross-functional teams through design, analysis, requirements management, hardware and test.
• Interface with systems and product engineers to develop and manage technical requirements.
• Partner with advanced technology to align programs with needs.
• Lead in-house manufacturing and supplier engagement to ensure producibility and cost targets.
• Coordinate with test teams for development and certification engine tests.
• Manage cost accounts, budgets, forecasts and earned value.
• Develop and manage schedules and milestones; drive Agile program planning.
• Identify and mitigate risks; develop opportunities.
