Job summary

Gensler in New York seeks an experienced Project Architect to lead a team of architects and designers from concept through build. You will drive technical excellence and coordinate with a broad range of consultants and clients in fast-paced projects.

With 15+ years in commercial design, licensure, and proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, and the Adobe suite, you’ll guide complex facilities and ensure high-quality architectural solutions across varying scales.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture.
• 15+ years of experience in a commercial design firm.
• Experience with Critical Facilities or similarly complex projects.
• Licensed or registered architect.
• Experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, SketchUp, 3ds Max, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator), and MS Office.
• Working knowledge of building codes, standards, building construction, and building structures.
• LEED accreditation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of architects and designers to deliver projects from concept through build.
• Coordinate with structural, MEP, lighting, AV, landscape and civil consultants.
• Ensure conformance with State and Local regulatory standards.
• Support communication between project team, clients, vendors, contractors, consultants, and authorities having jurisdiction.
• Provide technical guidance and innovative solutions to resolve complex technical and design challenges.
• Maintain project manual and specifications.
• Conduct and document site visits, process submittals, substitution requests, and RFIs during construction.
• Ensure the highest quality and technical aspects of Gensler’s design.
