Job summary

Gensler in Charlotte is seeking a Project Architect to blend creativity with technical rigor, delivering base building and interior renovation projects for diverse clients. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, coordinate with clients, consultants, and regulators, and produce BIM models and construction drawings to realize design intent.

The role emphasizes leadership, problem solving, and collaboration, with opportunities to mentor junior staff and contribute to office culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture from an accredited school.
• Registered/Licensed Architect.
• 6-8 years of diverse interiors experience with an emphasis on base building and interior renovation projects.
• Experience delivering architecture projects through all phases of the design process.
• Strong knowledge of building codes, standards and building structures.
• Experience coordinating approvals across multiple jurisdictions and AHJs.
• Proficient in Revit and design software (SketchUp, InDesign, 3D Studio Max, Enscape, Photoshop, Illustrator, Rhino, Miro).
• Leadership, communication, and relationship management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the creative efforts of multiple core & shell projects from marketing through construction administration.
• Engage with senior design leadership from development through design solutions implementation.
• Collaborate with design team, clients, consultants, contractors, fabricators, regulatory agencies and vendors to meet project objectives.
• Manage project team and coordination of consultants.
• Produce BIM models and construction drawings.
• Resolve technical and design issues with the team to deliver constructible solutions.
• Provide mentorship and coaching to grow junior staff members.
• Participate in office culture and initiatives.
