Sustainable Comfort, Inc. is seeking a Program Manager to lead the delivery of energy-auditing services with emphasis on multifamily and affordable housing.

You will manage workflow, provide technical oversight, and coordinate staff across projects to ensure efficient, accurate CNAs, PCAs/PNAs, IPNAs, and ASHRAE audits. The role includes coordinating with internal teams and clients, forecasting resources, and scaling the program in a high-growth sustainability environment located in Worcester,

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, environmental science, business administration, energy management, or related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in multifamily building assessments, capital planning, energy auditing, building systems, engineering, architecture, or related due-diligence services, including experience managing multiple concurrent projects.
  • Demonstrated experience preparing or managing CNAs, PCAs/PNAs, IPNAs, and ASHRAE energy audits; Level III analysis preferred.
  • Experience with multifamily and affordable-housing properties and programs, HUD/LIHTC/HCR/HPD/HDC or comparable housing-agency requirements.
  • Experience coordinating or technically reviewing the work of assessors, engineers, architects, energy auditors, or project managers.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, document, and refine program workflows, SOPs, and process maps.
  • Identify operational gaps and implement improvements to enhance efficiency and consistency.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and software vendors to optimize program tracking and reporting systems.
  • Support leadership with forecasting, resource planning, and program scaling.
  • Manage the full assessment workflow from project intake and scoping through staffing, fieldwork, report production, technical review, client comments, and final delivery.
  • Monitor project status, risks, deliverables, and on-time performance; elevate constraints and implement corrective actions when needed.
