Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Seguin, Texas is seeking a dynamic Production Technician III to join our Power Generation Operation back half assembly. You will assemble, test, and troubleshoot cutting-edge equipment and help develop other technicians’ skillsets, with a focus on diesel engines and generator assembly.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 6 months' experience in a manufacturing work environment or relevant college degree.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to read, write, and interpret documents in English.
• Ability to work well with others and take initiative.

Responsibilities

• Align and secure engine components according to work instructions.
• Install gaskets, seals, wiring, hoses, covers, and visual components.
• Verify correct alignment of engine components using schematics and prints.
• Perform torque audits, leak tests, and visual inspections on engines.
• Train and develop new team members as needed.
• Escalate issues and develop counter measures.
