Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. in Seguin, TX is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Technician II to work with engineers, resolve production issues, and drive continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment.

You will support generator assembly and cross-functional training to improve safety, quality, velocity and cost. Minimum two years of manufacturing experience or a two-year degree, plus proficiency with Excel, Word, and Outlook, are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of manufacturing experience or a 2-year degree in lieu of experience.
• Experience reading blueprints and reviewing 3D models.
• Experience in assembly processes and validation to manufacture products.
• Experience with basic inspection equipment (calipers, micrometers, depth gauges).
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support to supervisors and managers about processes and equipment within the assigned area.
• Investigate and resolve manufacturing engineering related line calls.
• Work with cross functional teams to minimize downtime and out of process units.
• Assist with the resolution of CI Cards and CCN/CIA.
• Validate production processes prior to implementation.
• Collaborate with NPI teams to improve manufacturability of products.
