Job summary

Syracuse Sausage LLC seeks a Production Supervisor to lead hourly staff in operations, focusing on product quality, yield, efficiency, and safety. The role reports to the Production Manager and requires fostering a team-based environment in our meat processing facility.

Responsibilities include supervising training, meeting budgets, ensuring GMP/SOP/HACCP compliance, and partnering with HR on employee relations.

Qualifications

BS/BA or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum two years in a food industry environment.
At least two years of supervisory/leadership experience within a meat processing environment; FDA/USDA experience a plus.
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to train and motivate personnel.
Strong communication and Microsoft Office skills.

Responsibilities

Lead hourly staff to achieve production objectives including product quality, yield, and safety.
Oversee daily production, monitor yields, labor usage and costs with reporting.
Ensure SOP, GMP, SQF, HACCP compliance and food safety standards.
Develop weekly production schedules and communicate with teams.
Foster a safe, diverse, and collaborative work environment.
Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain attendance and discipline processes as needed.
