Job summary

Siemens is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead fabrication and assembly operations across Livermore and San Leandro, CA. You will drive safe, disciplined execution and align schedules, quality, and labor across two busy locations.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in manufacturing leadership, strong frontline coaching, and proven ability to improve throughput and labor efficiency while maintaining safety and lean practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations, or closely related field or equivalent leadership experience.
• 5+ years of manufacturing experience with leadership responsibility.
• Proven people leadership directing frontline teams in fabrication, welding, metal processing or similar environments.
• Experience working with employee union functions, planning, purchasing, engineering, quality, maintenance.
• Proven success leading supervisors and hourly workers in a fast-paced factory.
• Strong knowledge of production control, labor planning, and performance metrics.
• Ability to identify gaps and drive continuous improvement in a factory setting.
• Proven ability to develop frontline leaders and production teams.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to operate across multiple production locations and align execution standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead manufacturing operations including laser, press brake, copper pre-fabrication, machine shop, welding, and assembly.
• Coordinate with union, planning, purchasing, engineering, quality, and maintenance.
• Maintain strong shop-floor presence and provide direction and escalation support to frontline teams.
• Manage labor allocation and scheduling to meet output and delivery targets.
• Ensure safe operations and adherence to EHS, quality, and standards.
• Drive schedule attainment, productivity, and reliable throughput across both sites.
• Identify bottlenecks and disruptions and drive corrective actions.
• Standardize operating practices and execution across Livermore and San Leandro.
