Job summary

cscexternalcareersite is seeking a Production Supervisor for the 2nd shift to lead a manufacturing team and drive safety, quality and continuous improvement. You will coach operators, manage daily KPIs, and coordinate staffing and training with HR.

Responsibilities include enforcing safety standards, engaging with cross-functional teams, and implementing LEAN initiatives under the Plant Manager's guidance. This role requires strong communication and hands-on leadership.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Bachelor's degree in business, management, engineering or related field preferred.
• 5 years of management experience preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in industrial manufacturing preferred.
• Welding experience strongly preferred.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and other manufacturing software applications.
• Working knowledge of LEAN Manufacturing Principles.
• Demonstrated ability to direct, coach, and train associates as well as plan, monitor, and schedule work.
• Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safety by coaching and enforcing safety policies.
• Provide hands-on leadership to meet daily KPI’s through planning and problem solving.
• Establish staffing and training plans and coach direct reports.
• Develop morale and motivation; coordinate with leadership and HR on employee relations; implement LEAN initiatives under Plant Manager guidance.
• Work knowledge of tools, machinery, and basic engineering.
• Perform administrative tasks: time/attendance, schedules, production data, trends, reports.
• Assist with monthly inventory as required.
• Understand end-to-end production to drive continuous improvement and standard operating practices.
• Lead according to company policies and laws.
• Maintain positive work environment with customers and co-workers.
• Support continuous learning of self and others.
• Other duties as assigned; regular attendance.
