Job summary

LCI in Durham, NC is seeking a production supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations. You will coordinate workflows, issue instructions, monitor quality, and maintain records to ensure on-time, accurate orders.

The role requires 2–5 years of supervision experience and proficiency with Microsoft Office tools. On-site work schedule is Monday–Friday, with potential for overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of manufacturing supervision experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel, Word and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Determine work procedures, prepare work schedules, and expedite workflow.
• Issue written and oral instructions to production workers and ensure goals and responsibilities.
• Examine work for exactness, neatness, and conformance to policies.
• Maintain attendance and production records.
• Study and standardize procedures to improve efficiency.
• Maintain harmony among workers and resolve grievances.
• Work with plant manager to ensure orders are completed accurately and on time.
• Meet safety, quality and production goals.
• Direct training and indoctrination of workers to improve performance.
• Prepare composite reports from subordinate reports.
• Maintain inventory control on materials and finished goods.
• Interpret policies and enforce safety regulations.
• Interpret orders to workers and assign duties.
• Maintain time worked records and submit to payroll weekly.
• Inspect materials and requisition needed supplies.
• Report machine/equipment malfunctions to maintenance.
• Report machine and equipment malfunctions to maintenance personnel.
• Work overtime as required.
• Maintains a regular and reliable level of attendance.
• Interacts with co-workers cooperatively and professionally.
• Adheres to company policies and procedures.
• Other duties may be assigned.
