Job summary

Rusco Manufacturing is seeking a Production Supervisor to oversee daily operations on the 1st shift at our Machesney Park, IL facility. You will lead a team of production workers, ensure safety, quality, and on-time output, and drive improvements to meet budget and company standards.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience leading hourly production employees.
• Strong understanding of safety, quality, and productivity.
• Ability to read and interpret production schedules and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and motivate production employees across assigned shifts.
• Plan and coordinate daily production activities to meet customer and company requirements.
• Monitor production schedules, staffing, productivity, and downtime.
• Ensure all employees follow safety policies and OSHA requirements.
• Maintain quality standards and address production or quality issues promptly.
• Track KPIs and implement corrective actions when necessary.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, quality, and reduce waste.
• Work with Maintenance, Quality, Warehouse, Engineering, and other departments.
• Conduct shift meetings and communicate production priorities and performance.
• Complete production reports, employee documentation, and other required records.
• Address employee performance, attendance, and disciplinary issues per policy.
• Promote a positive, accountable, team-oriented work environment.
