Job summary

Eaton’s Critical Power Solutions Division seeks a 1st shift Production Supervisor in Youngsville, NC. You will supervise production employees, plan and prioritize schedules, and drive lean initiatives to meet safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals.

You’ll coach teams, manage staffing and records, and partner with leadership to implement plant-wide improvements while ensuring Eaton’s policies are followed and performance targets are achieved.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 5 years’ direct leadership experience in lieu of a degree.
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in Manufacturing Operations or Engineering in a manufacturing environment.
• Minimum 1 year of direct supervisory experience.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorship.
• Lean Manufacturing experience/certification preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; SAP experience beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision for production employees in the assigned area.
• Assist in staffing decisions and maintain personnel records and reports on productivity, quality, and attendance.
• Coach and motivate employees to achieve optimum performance and skill development.
• Drive plant-wide Continuous Improvement initiatives stemming from YPO projects and leadership directives.
• Develop and implement schedules and manpower requirements to meet production plans.
• Plan and prioritize departmental and plant-wide production schedules based on delivery dates and material.
• Monitor productivity to maintain or exceed quality and production levels.
• Engage in lean initiatives including standard work, 5S, pull systems, and structured problem solving.
• Champion Eaton systems and tools to ensure proper execution within areas.
