Job summary

Oldcastle Infrastructure, Inc. in Colfax, NC is seeking a Production Manager to lead daily manufacturing operations, optimize personnel and equipment, and partner with senior leadership to hit safety, quality and productivity goals.

The role requires a hands-on leader with 2+ years of supervisory manufacturing experience, strong math and measurement skills, and the ability to read precision instruments. Competitive pay and growth opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Strong mathematical aptitude.
• Ability to read and use precision measuring instruments (rulers, calipers, dial indicators, micrometers).
• Manual dexterity with the ability to safely use hand tools and operate production equipment.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform standing, walking, and lifting.
• Manufacturing experience, preferably in plastics production.
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Proven ability to lead, train, motivate, and communicate effectively with employees and management.
• Knowledge of production operations, equipment, material handling, quality control and safety practices.

Responsibilities

• Supervise all production activities for assigned shift.
• Organize and delegate tasks to employees.
• Ensure personnel are working efficiently and effectively through follow-up and training.
• Teach and enforce safe working practices.
• Oversee changeovers of production lines.
• Maintain shop organization and ensure machine readiness.
• Hire, train, direct and mentor shift employees.
• Conduct routine performance reviews and promotions/demotions as needed.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives (e.g., 5S).
• Record shop logs and personnel information.
• Communicate issues with other supervisors or department heads.
