Job summary

TAS Energy, a Houston-based manufacturer, seeks a Manufacturing Production Manager II to lead production departments and direct labor, owning safety, quality, delivery, labor, and cost performance. You will resolve complex constraints while coordinating with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, EHS, and Project Management.

You will develop staffing plans, optimize layouts, manage budgets, and drive continuous improvement in modular manufacturing, ensuring on-time project completion and cost

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of technical experience in manufacturing/industrial settings.
• 5+ years of supervisory experience.
• Ability to read P&ID, ISO and engineering drawings.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, MS Word, and MS Excel.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Knowledge of supervisory principles, practices and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Leads multiple manufacturing facility operations to ensure completion of projects within budget and in a timely and cost-effective manner.
• Manages and develops Production Supervisors, leads, and direct labor teams.
• Drives operational performance through labor utilization, productivity, quality, schedule adherence, and cost efficiency.
• Addresses employee performance issues per company policies with HR input as needed.
• Monitors department operating costs, labor performance, and estimate to complete; escalate risks with solutions.
• Manages production plans based on backlog, priorities, labor, materials, and capacity.
• Develops staffing, shift, workspace, equipment, and overtime plans; adjusts as needed.
• Coordinates priorities across Engineering, Supply Chain, Ops PM, Quality, EHS, Logistics, and Planning.
• Establishes production objectives, standard work, visual controls, accountability, and escalation processes.
• Leads implementation and sustainment of new lines, cells, layouts, equipment, and methods.
• Collaborates with EHS to maintain a safe work environment and ensure compliance.
• Drives continuous improvement for flow, productivity, quality, ergonomics, and schedule reliability.
• Manages departmental spending to meet budget while maximizing productivity and equipment use.
• Participates in hiring, onboarding, performance management with HR.
• Executes priorities and strategic initiatives from Ops Director.
