Job summary

Aptyx seeks an experienced Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations in Tempe, AZ, driving production schedules, ensuring quality, safety, and delivery, and guiding cost-efficient processes in a regulated medical device environment.

You will partner with Quality, Engineering, Maintenance, Planning, and Supply to optimize capacity, lead continuous improvement, and develop a high-performing production team through coaching and accountability.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Operations Management, Engineering, Business, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of progressive manufacturing experience with increasing responsibility.
• 3+ years in manufacturing leadership or management.
• Experience in regulated medical device manufacturing and ISO 13485 preferred.
• Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, root cause analysis, and problem solving.
• Workforce planning, production scheduling, capacity planning, and labor management.
• Experience managing departmental budgets and costs.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage daily manufacturing operations to meet schedules and quality standards.
• Develop staffing plans, shift structures, and labor allocation.
• Collaborate with Planning and Supply Chain to set production priorities.
• Monitor KPIs: output, labor efficiency, downtime, and on-time delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 13485 and regulatory requirements.
• Lead, coach, and develop production staff and leaders.
