Job summary

Sentry Equipment Corp. is seeking a Supervisor to lead a small team of production detailing professionals. You will ensure drawings are accurate, manufacturable, and ready for detailing, while collaborating with Engineering, Sales, and Project Management to resolve issues.

The role emphasizes coaching, performance reviews, and continuous improvement of drafting processes. You will recruit and develop interns and build cross-department relationships to support manufacturing success.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a team of drafting or detailing professionals.
• Strong knowledge of drafting standards and manufacturability considerations.
• Ability to coordinate with Engineering and other departments.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, coach, and develop a team of 3–5 production detailing professionals; set priorities and monitor workload.
• Review and approve drawings and documentation for accuracy, manufacturability, and standards before release.
• Gate incoming detailing work, confirm requirements and specs, and resolve gaps with Engineering, Sales, and Project Management.
• Ensure timely delivery of accurate engineering drawings while minimizing errors and rework.
• Maintain and improve drafting standards, checking methods, and team processes.
• Prepare performance reviews and address performance matters with HR involvement.
• Serve as a technical and process resource for the Production Detailing Team.
• Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, and development of interns.
• Build relationships with Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, Sales, Marketing, and Project Managers.
