Scribd, Inc. seeks a Lead Product Manager for Recommendations to own the end-to-end experience for hundreds of millions of monthly visitors across Scribd surfaces.

You will define vision, metrics, and a multi-year roadmap while partnering with Engineering, Analytics, Data Science, Design, and ML teams to deliver breakthrough features that redefine discovery and drive engagement and subscriptions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of product management experience, including 4+ years leading recommendations or search products in a high-traffic consumer environment.
• Demonstrated success shipping ML-driven features that moved core business metrics
• Deep familiarity with retrieval and ranking algorithms, embeddings, and feature stores
• Track record of thriving amid ambiguity: shaping a multi-year vision, aligning cross-functional teams
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills — crafting product briefs and presenting data-backed decisions to senior leadership
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience)

Responsibilities

• Chart the long-term recommendations strategy — multi-year roadmap across candidate generation, ranking, and results presentation
• Partner with ML Engineering & Applied Research to translate research into production systems
• Define metrics that matter — engagement rate, click-through, content completion, and subscription conversion
• Balance short-term wins with long-term vision — ship improvements aligned with a multi-year AI strategy
• Fuse data with customer voice — synthesize experiment results and feedback to inform prioritization
• Communicate with clarity — align stakeholders by clearly articulating requirements, timelines, deliverables, impact
