Scribd, Inc. is seeking a Lead Product Manager for Recommendations to own our discovery experience for 200 million monthly visitors.

You will shape a multi-surface strategy, drive engagement, and partner with ML, analytics, design, and engineering to ship high-impact features. You will define metrics, run experiments, and translate user feedback into a bold, actionable roadmap while balancing scale, revenue, and customer delight.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of product management experience, including leading recommendations or search in a high-traffic consumer environment.
• Demonstrated success shipping ML-driven features that moved engagement, conversion or revenue at scale.
• Deep familiarity with retrieval and ranking concepts, embeddings, and feature stores.
• Thrives in ambiguity, shapes multi-year vision, and aligns cross-functional teams.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication for senior leadership.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.

Responsibilities

• Chart the long-term recommendations strategy across Scribd's surfaces, guiding users from interest to the right document.
• Partner with ML Engineering & Applied Research to translate research into production systems using signals and embeddings.
• Define metrics that matter: engagement, click-through, content completion, and subscription conversion.
• Balance short-term wins with long-term vision; ship relevance improvements tied to revenue goals.
• Fuse data with the voice of the customer to inform prioritization and feature design.
• Communicate requirements, timelines, deliverables, and impact to product, engineering, design, content, and executives.
