Job summary

Raley's is seeking an Assistant Produce Team Lead to help run the store's produce department, in training to lead the team and meet department goals while delivering fresh, high-quality produce.

You will direct department staff in the manager's absence, coordinate with supervisors, manage stocking and merchandising, and ensure product freshness and display standards in a fast-paced retail environment. Must be 18+, 21+ for alcohol-serving roles.

Responsibilities

• Direct produce department staff in the manager's absence and work toward department goals.
• Communicate with the store team lead and produce department supervisors.
• Order produce and related products to maintain stock and merchandising standards.
• Unload trailers, verify orders, break down loads, and position product in the warehouse or cooler.
• Understand product trimming, rotation, culling, and watering to maintain attractiveness and shelf life.
• Build attractive displays and maintain inventory levels.
• Monitor pricing, signage, and shelf tags to support proper placement.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
