Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Produce Manager to help customers make healthy choices and lead one of the busiest store teams with exceptional service.

The role supports the Produce Manager in merchandising, inventory, training, and maintaining freshness across products in a fast-paced environment. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and have a basic knowledge of math, weights and measures.
• Be dependable and reliable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Have an outgoing and friendly behavior with the ability to interact with customers.
• Have good communication skills and the ability to take direction in a team environment.
• Perform general housekeeping in the department; clean and sanitize work areas.
• Adhere to safety, health, Weights and Measures regulations including COOL and maintain a Food Handlers permit.
• Able to perform standing, walking, bending, climbing; lift up to 50 lbs without aid.
• Able to use a pallet jack to move pallets up to 20 feet.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Produce Manager in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit.
• Oversee ordering, inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Produce team.
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through planning, direction, goal setting, and teamwork.
• Maintain freshness standards by receiving, processing, packaging, pricing, signage, displaying, and rotation of items.
• Lead a team to deliver top product quality and customer service.
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training, and developing the Produce team.
• Unload and sort deliveries and operate produce equipment.
• Ensure compliance with company health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
