Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Produce Manager to lead the busy Produce team and help customers make healthy choices. You’ll support the Produce Manager, manage inventory and merchandising, and ensure freshness and safety standards in a fast-paced store environment.

You’ll hire, train, and mentor staff, oversee delivery processing, and uphold health and sanitation guidelines while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Be 18+ years old with basic math knowledge.
• Dependable with flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays.
• Outgoing and friendly with strong customer interaction skills.
• Good communication and ability to work in a team.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the department.
• Follow safety, health, Weights and Measures regulations; food handlers permit.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Produce Manager in department management and merchandising.
• Oversee ordering, inventory controls, quality, and supervision of the Produce team.
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through planning, direction and teamwork.
• Maintain freshness standards from receiving to display and rotation.
• Lead and train the Produce team and assist in hiring.
