Job summary

Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Produce Manager to help customers make healthy choices in a fast-paced store environment. You will assist the Produce Manager in merchandising, ordering, inventory controls, and supervising the Produce team to deliver freshness and quality.

Responsibilities include leading a busy team, training and developing staff, ensuring safety and sanitation, and maintaining product standards while providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age and able to handle weights and measures.
• Be dependable with flexible scheduling including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Must interact positively with customers and work well in a team.
• Follow safety, health, and sanitation guidelines and maintain Food Handler’s permits.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Produce Manager in managing and merchandising the department for productivity and profit.
• Oversee ordering, inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Produce team.
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through planning, direction, and teamwork.
• Maintain freshness standards, receiving, processing, packaging, pricing, signage, and rotation of items.
• Lead a team to deliver high-quality products and exceptional customer service.
• Assist in hiring, training, and developing the Produce team.
