Job summary

HF Sinclair Corporation in the United States seeks a Senior Process Safety Engineer to lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of key process safety programs across our refinery operations. You will ensure compliance with regulations, corporate standards, and industry best practices while supporting safe and reliable performance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience with APC (step testing, modeling, commissioning, and day-to-day support).
• Knowledge of Burner Management Systems Integration is required.
• Familiar with APC work processes, project phases, and cost-type project deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day Process Safety support to refinery operations and engineering teams.
• Serve as the LOPA Technical Authority for the refinery.
• Perform and maintain monthly process safety metrics reporting.
• Provide technical guidance, training, and presentations on Process Safety initiatives.
• Act as SME and program owner for PSV/Flare, SOL, Facility Siting, PHA, MII programs.
• Contribute to HF Alky API 751 Site Team and fleet-wide communities of practice.
• Support Process Safety audits and Pre-Startup Safety Reviews as required.
• Assist in KPI tracking and action-item closure for PSM.
• Engage in fleet-wide Process Safety engineering communities.
