Job summary
Spencer Ogden is seeking an experienced Process/Project Engineer with a strong background in oil & gas, natural gas processing, and plant operations to support capital projects and operational improvements.
You will work directly with operations and field teams to troubleshoot issues, lead or support capital and maintenance projects, develop scopes and cost estimates, and perform hydraulic modeling and PHAs to enhance safety and efficiency.
Qualifications
- 10+ years in oil & gas/process engineering.
- 5+ years in plant environment for process or project engineering.
- Experience with natural gas processing, pipelines, LPG, terminals, or refining.
- Familiarity with PSM and PHAs.
Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot operations with field teams and develop solutions.
- Lead or support capital and maintenance projects from scope to execution.
- Develop project scopes, schedules, and cost estimates up to $10M.
- Coordinate with third-party firms and construction crews.
- Analyze and optimize plant efficiency and recoveries.
- Lead or participate in PHAs and address safety risks.
- Perform hydraulic modeling for gas & liquids pipelines.
- Support growth projects through feasibility studies and cost estimates.
- Assist due diligence for potential midstream asset acquisitions.
- Collaborate with agencies and support incident response.
