Job summary

The Haskell Company is seeking a Process Mechanical Estimator to develop accurate cost estimates for water and wastewater facilities and industrial water projects. You will analyze drawings and specifications to produce detailed takeoffs for mechanical systems and equipment, while supporting bid proposals and value engineering.

Ideal candidates have a BS in Engineering or Construction Management with 5+ years of estimating experience, proficiency in Beck Destini Estimator, FastPIPE, Revit,

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Construction Management or accredited construction-related curriculum.
• Minimum of 5 years estimating experience preferred or 15 years in construction.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate P&IDs, mechanical equipment schedules, process piping layouts, and construction sequencing.
• Develop project budgets and competitive bid proposals.
• Perform risk assessments and identify potential cost or schedule impacts.
• Support value engineering to optimize project performance and cost.
• Apply knowledge of pumps, piping, valves, chemical feed systems, aeration, and treatment equipment.
• Utilize estimating software and construction methodologies for accurate estimates.
• Communicate effectively with internal teams, subcontractors, and clients.
• Review construction documents including P&IDs and equipment schedules for water/wastewater or industrial water projects.
• Prepare complete bid packages with pricing summaries and risk assessments.
