Job summary

Haskell is seeking a Process Mechanical Estimator to develop accurate cost estimates for water and wastewater facilities and industrial water projects. You will review P&IDs, specifications, and equipment lists to produce detailed takeoffs.

Responsibilities include budgeting, bid proposals, risk assessment, value engineering, and coordinating with internal teams and vendors. Candidates should have BS in Engineering or construction management and 5+ years of estimating experience; proficiency

Qualifications

• Professional experience estimating process mechanical scopes for water/wastewater treatment facility construction and/or industrial water projects.
• Working knowledge of treatment processes and major equipment types such as pumps, piping, and aeration.
• Ability to read, interpret, and analyze complex mechanical and process design documents.
• Estimating software experience required, Beck Destini Estimator and FastPIPE preferred.
• Proficiency with Excel-based estimating tools.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate P&IDs, mechanical equipment schedules, process piping layouts, and construction sequencing.
• Develop project budgets and competitive bid proposals.
• Perform risk assessments and identify potential cost or schedule impacts.
• Support value‑engineering efforts to optimize project performance and cost.
• Review and interpret construction documents for water/wastewater or industrial water projects.
