Job summary

Kimmel Associates is seeking a Lead Process Estimator to own the pricing of complex water and wastewater projects. This hands-on leadership role will mentor the estimating team and influence early-stage pricing for design-build pursuits.

You will collaborate with project managers and engineers, evaluate live-system considerations, and help grow the design-build practice while maintaining project operations during construction.

Qualifications

• Strong background in process piping and equipment estimating for water and wastewater.
• Experience leading or mentoring estimators, with readiness to lead a team.

Responsibilities

• Estimate self-performed piping and equipment scopes for water and wastewater projects.
• Develop bypass strategies and pricing for active process systems.
• Account for costs to maintain plant operations during construction.
• Prepare estimates for hard-bid projects.
• Support design-build pursuits with early-stage pricing and constructability input.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and operations teams.
• Review drawings, specs, and site conditions for sequencing challenges.
• Develop pricing for phased construction and live-system work.
• Mentor and develop the estimating team as the company grows.
• Establish estimating best practices to grow the business.
