Job summary

Kimmel Associates seeks a Lead Process Estimator to price complex water and wastewater projects, focusing on self-performed piping and equipment scopes. The role requires understanding of active systems to keep facilities operational during construction.

The position supports hard-bid and design-build pursuits, collaborating with project managers, engineers, and operations teams, with monthly office visits from a remote location in East Central Pennsylvania.

Qualifications

• Estimating experience in process piping and equipment, preferably in water/wastewater.
• Experience with hard-bid and design-build projects.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment and travel to East Central Pennsylvania monthly.

Responsibilities

• Estimate self-performed piping and equipment scopes for water and wastewater projects.
• Develop bypass strategies and pricing for active process systems.
• Account for costs to maintain plant operations during construction.
• Prepare estimates for hard-bid projects.
• Support design-build pursuits with early-stage pricing and constructability input.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and operations teams.
• Review drawings, specifications, and site conditions for sequencing and challenges.
• Develop pricing strategies for phased construction and live-system work.
