Job summary

Haskell invites a seasoned preconstruction estimator to lead the development of detailed cost estimates for large-volume water projects from concept to design. You will guide the preconstruction team, mentor estimating staff, and collaborate with designers to ensure accuracy and competitive pricing.

Responsibilities include bid package development, subcontractor coordination, risk assessment, and support for RFPs/RFQs, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent; 10 years of construction experience, or 15 years in the field.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong organizational and leadership abilities.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of detailed construction cost estimates from conceptual design through final design.
• Manage and mentor estimating personnel; provide direction and professional development.
• Participate in design reviews and guide the design team during preconstruction.
• Evaluate design options; recommend cost-effective, constructible solutions.
• Monitor scope, cost, and constructability to align with goals and budget.
• Lead pricing strategy with the proposal leader; ensure alignment on approach.
