Kimmel Associates is seeking a Lead Process Estimator for a hands-on leadership role in water and wastewater project estimating. You will own complex pricing, guide a growing team, and influence hard-bid and design-build pursuits while coordinating with project managers, engineers, and operations staff.

The position emphasizes leading the estimating team, ensuring accurate, timely bids and building a scalable process for pricing live and phased construction work in a remote-friendly environment.

Qualifications

• Strong background in process piping and equipment estimating, preferably in water/wastewater treatment.
• Experience pricing bypass, phased construction, and live/operational systems.
• Experience leading or mentoring estimators, or readiness to take on team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Estimate self-performed piping and equipment scopes for water/wastewater projects.
• Develop bypass strategies and pricing for active process systems.
• Account for costs maintaining plant operations during construction.
• Prepare estimates for hard-bid projects.
• Support design-build pursuits with early-stage pricing and constructability input.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and operations teams.
• Review drawings, specs, and site conditions to identify sequencing challenges.
• Develop pricing for phased construction and live-system work.
• Mentor estimators and help grow the estimating team.
• Establish estimating best practices and contribute to growth.
