Job summary

Kimmel & Associates, Inc. is seeking a Lead Process Estimator to own the estimation of complex water and wastewater projects and guide the estimating team in a growing contractor environment.

This hands-on leadership role influences pricing strategies for hard-bid and design-build work and supports early-stage pricing for pursuits. The position emphasizes leadership and collaboration with project managers, engineers, and operations, with remote work flexibility and periodic office visits to

Qualifications

• Strong background in process piping and equipment estimating for water and wastewater facilities.
• Proven ability to lead and mentor an estimating team.
• Experience with hard-bid and design-build projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Estimate self-performed piping and equipment scopes for water and wastewater projects.
• Develop bypass strategies and pricing for live process systems.
• Cost accounting for maintaining plant operations during construction.
• Prepare estimates for predominantly hard-bid projects.
• Support design-build pursuits with early pricing and constructability input.
• Collaborate with project teams to understand existing systems and constraints.
• Review drawings and site conditions for sequencing challenges.
• Develop pricing for phased construction and live-system work.
• Lead, mentor, and grow the estimating team as the company expands.
• Establish estimating best practices to drive growth.
